BBM Messenger has teamed up with Dotjam to launch a ‘Scratch2Win’ campaign for BBM users in South Africa.
The campaign provides users with fun and engaging mobile scratch cards and the chance to win instant prizes like coupons, digital vouchers, mobile airtime, mobile data and mystery discounts from brands and retailers.
Available in the BBM Discover menu via the Scratch2Win icon, users are required to register their profile the first time they access the service, upon which, they can view the list of active mobile scratch card campaigns.
Each campaign requires the user to answer a short survey or poll, which then generates a unique mobile scratch card revealing instant rewards and prizes.
Airtime and data prizes are topped up instantly to users’ mobile accounts, while digital coupons and vouchers are conveniently stored in prize wallets for redemption at participating brands and retailers.
In addition to instant prizes, users can also win entries into the grand prize draw, where one lucky user will win a shopping voucher worth R5 000.
Scratch2Win is a simple on-brand engagement mechanic that provides instant user gratification and can be used as an extensive marketing tool while building a brand audience. It drives high user uptake of marketing campaigns, while the gamification element drives high brand engagement, all of which are key components in the digital marketing world.
The ‘Scratch2Win’ campaign will end on 10 October 2018.
