Check Point Software Technologies has announced that its flagship vSEC cloud security solution for Microsoft Azure has been enhanced to support Azure Stack, delivering consistent security across Azure public and hybrid cloud environments.
As a Microsoft Azure Certified partner, Check Point enables customers to seamlessly protect all Azure assets and workloads with industry-leading advanced threat prevention security, while also providing secure connectivity across on-premises networks and their Azure cloud environments.
“We are excited to extend vSEC security protections to Microsoft Azure Stack,” said Itai Greenberg, Head of Cloud Security Business at Check Point. “vSEC delivers comprehensive threat prevention with complete visibility of all threats across both physical and virtual environments, helping organisations migrate securely to cloud-based environments. Supporting Azure Stack gives our customers the opportunity to increase their network flexibility and control, by adopting a consistent framework, processes and tools for application development as well as security.”
The rapid adoption of cloud technologies by organizations of all sizes continues to drive more and more data beyond traditional premises-based security controls. Achieving a consistent security posture across an increasingly diverse and distributed network creates a host of new challenges. Check Point and Microsoft enjoy a rich track-record of working to develop solutions that help organizations to securely adopt the latest technologies to securely drive their businesses forward.
Check Point vSEC extends advanced, multi-layered security to protect data and assets in the cloud from malware and other sophisticated threats. Designed for the dynamic and elastic nature of Azure environments, vSEC automatically adapts policies to changes in the cloud environment by leveraging contextual data about VMs, groups, tags and other Azure defined objects. This provides enhanced security protections tuned to the exacting needs of the environment. What’s more, vSEC seamlessly follows workloads and data from Azure public cloud to Azure Stack environments, complimenting Microsoft’s native controls while also enabling consistent security policy, enforcement, logging and reporting — all from a single unified management console.
Key highlights Include:
* Advanced Threat Prevention protects cloud assets against external and internal threats. vSEC compliments native Azure controls by securing traffic with comprehensive multi-layered security.
* Single Pane of Glass Security Management for public and private cloud as well as on-premises networks ensures consistent policy management and visibility across cloud infrastructures.
* Security policy, logging and reporting leverages Microsoft Azure Cloud defined objects enhancing visibility.
* Any Cloud, Any Service, Always Secure — with support for Azure Stack, Check Point continues to provide one of the industry’s broadest advanced threat prevention security solutions for any cloud environment: public, private and hybrid.
“As an extension of Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Azure Stack enables a truly consistent hybrid cloud solution for customers, which empowers them to maximize their investments across cloud and on-premises environments,” said Mark Jewett, Senior Director, Azure Hybrid Product Marketing, Microsoft Corp. “We are pleased that Check Point continues to make its security expertise available to help our mutual customers improve the security of their hybrid networks.”
